The Dave DeMarco Band (and its acoustic duo counterpart) is a good time classic rock band that dabbles with some of the cooler modern rock. Think Tom Petty, Deep Purple, Doobie Brothers, Rush, Aerosmith, Beatles, Wings, KISS, Cheap Trick, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Fuel, Pearl Jam, Tonic, Elton John, Chicago, STP, Heart, Hendrix, Live, Green Day, Blind Faith, Queen...all delivered with 3-part harmony. Deep cuts from albums you know all too well are mixed with slam-dunk favorites which seem to improve with age. Whether it's a full band gig or an acoustic duo, we always have fun playing our favorite songs and the crowds pick up on that.
The DDB is not your average band. We like to think of ourselves as a tight-knit cabal of musicians who are fans of each other as much as we are fans of the bands whose songs we play. We all gig in other fun, local bands and those bands' schedules determine who will be with us on a given night. On most nights the band consists of:
Dave DeMarco - vocals/bass. Dave also plays with a variety of bands including Cloudbreak, Oh Yeah Sure and Ben Sherman.
Chris Mack - drums. Chris also plays with two national progressive rock bands - Iluvatar and Puppet Show.
Sam White - guitar/vocals. Sam also plays with Into The Sun, a popular modern rock band.
For some shows, the lineup may include:
John Davis - drums. John and DD have logged numerous gig miles together playing in Everybody Wants Some, Never Never and Dixon Hall.
Scott Spivey - vocals/guitar. Scott throws down weekly with modern rock favs Starcrush.
Steve Shaffer - vocals/guitar. Steve also plays in Deadlock (formerly Burn) and Shift.
Dean Cramer - vocals/guitar. Dean spent 10+ years with Funny Money and did a brief stint with Sebastian Bach.
The member rotation is fun for us as well as the fans. Each "lineup" plays a somewhat different set list which keeps it fresh and exciting! Depending upon schedules, there may be anywhere between 3-6 (full electric band or acoustic duo) shows per month. Check out our Myspace page and schedule.
Special thanks to Todd Edmonds, Kajun Kelley, Keith Larsen and Ross Tyrie . These wonderful friends and musicians helped get the band started and occasionally make appearances when schedules permit.
